Bacon-Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients
8 strips Indiana Kitchen bacon
1 pound whole fresh mushrooms stems removed
grated parmesan
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp green onions chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cover rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2. In a pan, fry bacon until crisp. Cut into small pieces.
3. Mix cream cheese and garlic powder. Stir in bacon and onion.
4. Place mushrooms on the baking sheet, upside down. Fill each one with the cream cheese mixture.
5. Bake until the mushrooms are tender, around 25-35 minutes. Top with parmesan and put back in the oven to allow the cheese to melt. Remove from oven serve.
6. Recipe Notes: Sprinkle some more green onion, chives or parsley on top to add a pop of color!
